1. Personal Information Collection Statement

This statement is made by the "Protection Association" (collectively "the Association", "we" or "our") under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486) of the Laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Privacy Ordinance") . The purpose of this statement is to inform you of the reasons for our collection of your personal data, how it will be used, and to whom and to whom the personal data will be requested for data access.


2. Collection-why we collect your information

From time to time, we collect personal data from you in order to provide you with our services and to enhance your customer / member experience. You are not obligated to provide us with your personal data, but if you do not provide personal data, we will not be able to provide you with some of the information, materials, services and / or products of the "Protection Association".


3. Use-the possible use of your information

When you browse this website, it implied that you agree that the personal data, you provide to the Association, may be used and stored by the Association in order to meet the following purposes and other purposes that you and the Association may agree with other requirements of the law from time to time:

3.1 Identify, match and / or record identity to maintain contact with our customers / members and update customer / member information;

3.2 Provide relevant services, including order processing, registration of courses and seminars, application for membership or renewal and student affairs, etc.;

3.3 Promote the latest information by our staff;

3.4 Perform the daily management and operation of our business and improve the services that we provide to customers / members;

3.5 Investigate complaints and suspicious transactions, and carry out research on service improvement measures;

3.6 Prevent or detect crimes;

3.7 Entrusted consultancy studies, investigations or disclosures may be made in accordance with the law.


4. Transfer of your personal data

We will keep the personal data we hold confidential, but we may disclose and / or transmit the personal data (whether within or outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) to the following persons for the purposes set out in this statement:

4.1 Any agent, contractor, or third-party service provider that provides us with administrative, telecommunications, computer, payment, content, information, or other promotional or promotional services in relation to the business and activities of the Insurance Association

4.2 Anyone who has a duty of confidentiality with us or promises to keep your personal data confidential, and strictly abides by the Privacy Ordinance when using it; and

4.3 Anyone who has the right to request us to disclose as required by law.


5. Requirements for checking / correcting information

You have the right to:

5.1 Check whether the Association holds any of your personal data;

5.2 Check your personal data held by the Association;

5.3 Request the Association to correct any incorrect personal data;

5.4 Accept or reject the policies and practices adopted by the Association on personal data (from time to time) and the types of personal data held by the Association.

If there is any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of this statement, the English version shall prevail.
